Let Us Introduce Ourselves
We are a small musical theatre company based in Ladysmith, British Columbia. So far we have put on a musical theatre production of Little Shop of Horrors – stay tuned for what we have planned next!
Emma Alsop
Co-Director
Emma is one of our co-directors. Over the years, she has been a part of many aspects of musical theatre including performing onstage, playing in pit bands, and working backstage. Her love of musical theatre started at a young age and has only grown over time. She is very excited to work with her best buds to put on some amazing live musical theatre performances and can’t wait to start working with even more Ladysmith local talents!
Katarina Skakun-Ward
Co-Director
Kat is one of our co-directors. Her love of music started at an early age, while her love of musical theatre came a little while later. She has been involved with musical theatre shows (on an off the stage) since 2006. Graduating from Vancouver Island University’s Music program really fuelled her love of the human voice. Her show credits include shows like The Wizard of Oz, We Will Rock You, Mamma Mia, and Hairspray.
Sarah Abdulkafi
Marketing Director
Meet Sarah, our Marketing Director. A BCIT graduate in Marketing and Tourism Management, Sarah practised her skills during an internship at Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver. For the past two years, she’s been a marketing manager at a local brewery. Despite no musical background, Sarah’s passion for the arts, love for photography, and enthusiasm for sing-along movies excite her for this journey! The only time Sarah seriously sings is in the shower, and she doesn’t think it’s quite stage-ready yet – but who knows what the future holds!
Lindsay Skakun-Ward
Web Developer/Guitarist
Lindsay is our website developer and guitar player in our shows. She has played in shows such as We Will Rock You, Mamma Mia, and Hairspray. She first gained an appreciation for musical theatre after an impromptu viewing of Wicked in San Francisco back in 2009.
